The International Institute of Green Finance (IIGF) of the Central University of Economics and Finance islooking for a highly motivated project manager, interested in sustainable finance-related topics, with excellent project development and management skills.
·Responsibilities
1.Project development and management: developing research projects, and managing the ongoing international research projects.
2.Stakeholdholder Engagement: Leading international stakeholder engagement, and exploring potential project possibilities.
3.Administration: Supporting center director in administrative and team management-related matters.
4.Events: Organizing IIGF’s international events/workshops/seminars.
·Competences and Experience:
-3+ years of work experience in sustainable finance/sustainability-related fields.
- Strong skills in international project development and management.
- Excellent command of written and spoken skills in both English and Chinese.
- Work experience in consulting agencies, research institutes, think tanks and iNGOs are desirable.
- Master’s degree in relevant fields (sustainability, economics, environment, finance, international relationship, development, etc).
- Good writing skills.
- A team player with a strongsense of responsibility.
- Creative, structured, outgoing personality, and comfortable working with various stakeholders and multiple tasks.
Time and Location:
The expected starting is Aug.21st, 2023, or immediately. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis untilthe position is filled.The ideal candidate will be currently in China, as we expect an immediate start in the office.

·Responsibilities
Research: working on international research projects on sustainable finance, particularly focusing on gender finance, biodiversity finance, and blue finance-related topics; writing opinion pieces, articles, and papers.1.Policy: International and domestic policy review and analysis; drafting policy briefs and recommendations based on research findings.2.Project development and management: supporting internationalresearch projectsdevelopment,and managingongoing projects.3.Communication: Supporting the communication of research findings and participating in sustainable finance-related events
·Competences and Experience:
- PhD or Master’s degree in a relevant field (sustainability, sustainable finance, gender studies, biodiversity finance, development studies, economics, environment, international relationship, etc).- Research experience in sustainable finance/sustainability-related topics. (Experience in gender, biodiversity finance, and blue finance are strongly desirable).- Excellent writing skills- Excellent command of English and Chinese languages.- Skills in project management and communication- A team player with a strong sense of responsibility.

Introduction to IIGF
The International Institute of Green Finance (IIGF) of the Central University of Finance and Economics (CUFE) (中央财经大学绿色金融国际研究院) is a research institute and an independent think tank, based in Beijing. It was established in Beijing in 2016 based on a its predecessor, Research Centre for Climate and Energy Finance established in 2011.IIGF researches a wide range of topics within sustainable finance, including climate finance, energy finance, international and local green finance development, green BRI, carbon finance , ESG, biodiversity finance, blue finance, transition finance, gender finance, environmental stress testing, and healthcare finance, etc. IGF works mainly with policy, market application and international cooperation. It also provides consultancy, training, and green bond certification for banks and other financial institutes.IIGF has partnership with numerous stakeholders in green finance both within and outside China. Within China, IIGF is an executive member of the Green Finance Committee (GFC) of the China Society for Finance and Banking (which is the main organizing body of green finance in China) and is entrusted to provide policy recommendations to the People’s Bank of China, the Chinese Ministry of Finance, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Chinese Ministry of Ecology and Environment, Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (MoHURD), as well as with many national, regional and local government institutions, financial institutions, and research organizations. Internationally, the IIGF conducts joint research with organizations such as UNEP, UNPRI, UNDP, the OECD, the EU, the European Investment Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the World Bank Group, Luxembourg Exchange, Cambridge University, Oxford University, the UCL, Climate Bond Initiative (CBI), WWF, Energy Foundation, WRI, etc.
